A huge THANK YOU to the Rowlett Recreation Center for inviting me and my provider partners at Suvida to sponsor such a fun Sock Hop Lunch Party in honor of Senior Day! 💃🕺💖

We had an absolute blast celebrating with 50s music, bingo, hula hoop contest, prizes, wonderful burgers and fries, and so many smiles and great memories! 🍔🍟

Thank you to my amazing partners at Suvida for hosting alongside me, along with other sponsors like Kendra with Right at Home and Melissa with Heart to Heart Hospice. A special thank you to the Rowlett Recreation Center, for giving us the opportunity to be part of such a wonderful event. ✨ Lunch & Learn at First Baptist Church of Kaufman! ✨
It was a great afternoon spent with the “Senior Connect” group at FB Church of Kaufman! It was an honor to present a Lunch & Learn last Wednesday, focused on healthy nutrition, portion control, and diabetes prevention and management.
We explored practical tips for making healthier food choices, discussed simple strategies for maintaining a balanced diet, and shared educational resources from the American Diabetes Association to help attendees continue their wellness journey at home.
A special thank you to the church for preparing a delicious lunch for attendees! The meal offered something for everyone, including a wonderful salad bar and several nutritious options that perfectly complemented our discussion about healthy eating and making mindful choices.
Of course, no event is complete without a little fun! Congratulations to our raffle prize winner! 🎉
Thank you to everyone who attended, asked thoughtful questions, and participated in the discussion. It is always a privilege to connect with our community and share information that empowers people to live healthier, more confident lives.
I'm already looking forward to my next visit with this wonderful group, where we'll be talking about the Basics of Medicare and helping attendees better understand their coverage options.

💚Wellness Wednesday at the Richardson Senior Center!!! 💚

Last Wednesday, I had a wonderful time visiting with everyone at the Richardson Senior Center! I enjoyed meeting so many new people, answering questions, and sharing information about healthy nutrition, portion control, and diabetes prevention, and management using resources from the American Diabetes Association.

We had some great conversations about simple ways to eat healthier, plan meals, and make small changes that can support support long-term health. I also gave away a fun, healthy themed raffle price, which was a big hit!

One of my favorite parts of these community events is getting to connect with people, hear their stories, and share ideas that can help us all live healthier lives. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello – – I always enjoy spending time with our amazing senior community! Here’s to healthy choices and lifelong wellness. 💚

🇺🇸 What a wonderful day at the Veterans Resource Fair yesterday at the Veterans Resource Outreach Center in Rowlett! It was a pleasure meeting so many Veterans, their families, and fellow community partners who are passionate about serving those who have served our country.

I also enjoyed making new connections with organizations that share a commitment to supporting our Veteran community. If you missed this event, don’t worry— the next Veterans resource fair is Tuesday, August 18, and I’d love to see you there!

Two communities. Two educational events. One purpose: helping people feel more confident about the future. 💚
This week I had the opportunity to be part of two wonderful events, each focused on empowering older adults with knowledge they can use every day.
💰 Financial Literacy Workshop
A big thank you to my community partner and financial planner, Allison Wilson, for leading an engaging discussion on financial literacy for seniors. She shared practical guidance on topics that can help retirees make informed financial decisions and feel more confident planning for the future.
📱 Technology Basics Workshop
I also had the pleasure of leading another Technology 101 session, where we explored smartphone and tablet basics. From staying connected with family and friends to using everyday apps with greater confidence, it's always rewarding to see participants realize that technology doesn't have to be intimidating—it can make life easier, safer, and more enjoyable.
One of my favorite parts of my job is connecting people with trusted professionals and practical resources that can make a real difference in their lives. Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make these events a success!
