Zone C,
Due to the government shutdown, all 2019 Zone meetings are unfortunately being cancelled.
NACS & NASP are working towards rescheduling all 2019 zone meetings into 2020 at the same locations/hotel and dates for next year. Many details have yet to be worked out for 2020. The VT/NH planning committee is working with the hotel to explore all options. Thank you to everyone in VT/NH for all you have already done and for your future efforts.
We highly recommend all hotel reservations be cancelled. The telephone number to cancel your reservation is (800) 445-8667.
Today, January 23rd, the NACS & NASP Boards had a teleconference with Angilla Denton and Tony Bainbridge. All leadership is having travel suspended until further notice. All activities for the month of February have been cancelled. Gathering as a Zone to discusss resultions is not an allowable activity during the shutdown.
If we return to work soon the lack of 350 travel funds, high workload, financial burden of being without pay and overall uncertainties associated with the shutdown are combing to make the 2019 Zone meetings unobtainable.
Plans are moving forward for the 2019 annual training meeting in Wyoming. This meeting has not been impacted by the shutdown.
As we figure this out, we will share it with you. Please let us know if you have questions. We may or may not have answers, but we will do our best to keep moving forward.
