Love was in the air this April at Ecumen St. Benedict’s Community – Monticello! 💐 We were honored to host a beautiful wedding in our chapel for the son of one of our residents, making it possible for his mom to be part of such a special day. Congratulations to the happy couple—we’re so grateful to have been part of your celebration!

On Friday June 5th we had our summer event “Slice of Summer“ for our residents (campus wide - IL, AL, MC) their families and also for staff and their families.
We had music by Fred and Warren - a special thank you to them.
Antique cars, truck, motorcycle from the Wright County Car Club
Balloon animals by Ric Schmidt, carnival games that our volunteers ran (thank you volunteers), ice cream and a petting Zoo by Joah’s Ark.
We had a beautiful day; a good time was had by all!

Creativity was in full bloom at Ecumen St. Benedict’s Community! 🎨 Residents in both Assisted Living and Memory Care enjoyed a free art workshop led by instructor Angie, made possible by the Rum River Art Center of Anoka through the North Central Grant. With three classes offered, there were plenty of opportunities to explore new techniques, express creativity, and have fun together!

Monticello Mayor, Lloyd Hilgart, stopped by Benedict Village Independent Living for “Coffee with the Mayor”. The Mayor and tenants enjoy their gatherings with coffee, treats and good conversation! We sure appreciate his visits and also his ongoing support as a volunteer in our independent and assisted living!

We held a special Memorial Day program to honor our Veterans and remember spouses of residents who served in the military. Thank you to Monticello VFW Post #8731, Deacon Matthew Thiemann, and Hospice of the Midwest for helping us create such a meaningful tribute. The poppy pins and roses were a beautiful reminder of service, sacrifice, and love.

Celebrating the wonderful women of Ecumen St. Benedict’s Community Monticello at our Mother’s Day tea event! 🌸☕

Residents enjoyed an afternoon filled with special desserts, tea, coffee, and lemonade while relaxing to the beautiful sounds of live harp music. The celebration wrapped up with laughter and a fun game shared among friends.
