Portal Insurance has been named a 2026 Best Practices Top Performer, recognized as the #1 highest-performing independent agency in its revenue category in the country.
The Best Practices Study, conducted since 1993 by the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (the Big "I") and Reagan Consulting, is the insurance industry's definitive benchmark for operational excellence. Each year, only about 300 qualify to earn and maintain the Best Practices designation, and within that group, a single agency per revenue category is named Top Performer.
This is a data-driven distinction, not an honorary one. Qualifying agencies submit detailed financial and operational data every year for independent review, measured on growth, profitability, productivity, and client retention against the strongest agencies in the nation. The designation is earned on performance alone.
For Portal, this marks a second consecutive year as a Best Practices agency and its first as the top-performing agency in its class nationwide.
