Throughout the season, we have been spotlighting the talented interns joining us this summer. Meet Max, Cecelia, and Ram!

Max Quist recently graduated from Dunwoody College of Technology with a degree in cybersecurity. This summer he has been working with our Information Security team.

Cecelia Mahoney is a rising junior at the University of Iowa, majoring in finance and RMI (risk management and insurance) and minoring in Spanish. This summer she is supporting our Cash department.

Ram Perez is a senior at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, majoring in information technology infrastructure with a sub plan in networking. During his time with us he is working with our Audit department.

Some statistics point to worsening economic conditions for low-income households in Minnesota. Meanwhile, perspectives from community organizations and the populations they serve paint an even starker picture.

Indicators say earnings and job opportunities are dwindling and inflation remains high year-over-year—all at a time when safety-net resources are becoming scarcer. Credit delinquencies and evictions are on the rise. And in interviews and focus groups our Community Development and Engagement team conducted, service providers and low-income individuals described how at the individual level, the financial strain is forcing difficult decisions and creating high levels of stress.
