To show appreciation to all our Northwestern Mutual Downtown Milwaukee team members and their families, we hosted a Family Appreciation Day at First Stage Milwaukee in the Marcus Performing Arts Center. Everyone got to enjoy an interactive Finding Nemo performance! We swam along to the show, enjoying the laughs and adventure. Thank you, First Stage Milwaukee, for a great time!

Congratulations to Missy Burback - Northwestern Mutual for receiving a Community Service award of a $15,000 donation from Northwestern Mutual for her efforts to support the Mikayla Burback Neuroscience Fund at Children's Wisconsin!

The fund is named after Missy’s daughter Mikayla who lives with Lissencephaly and Lenox Gastau Syndrome, and Epilepsy disorder. After spending lots of time at Children's Wisconsin, Missy and family wanted to give back to an organization that provided them so much hope. The fund provides for advancement of the Neurosciences unit and research while also supporting families through…

- Full-service coffee with wait staff in the neuroscience unit.
- A gathering space was created with toys and games to bring children receiving treatment comfort.
- A teen technology space for inpatient families
- Funding for neuroscience research at the hospital.

Wealth Management Advisor Thomas Buettner-Northwestern Mutual and his wife Mo were honored to es**rt their son Will Buettner at Villanova University Men’s Basketball Senior Day. From his freshman year as the “rookie” to his role as head manager, Will spent four years with the program, managing equipment, setting up practices, cutting video for coaches, and working out with the players. It was a thrill to be able to celebrate Will's achievements with Head Coach Kyle Neptune and Athletic Director Eric Roedl.
