Both sides “stretching” the numbers but 90% in 2025 is boldface lie.

When first reported, 2025’s jobs reports added up to 1.2 million new jobs.

After revisions, the economy added just 116,000 — 90% less.

Our agency is licensed in ME, NH, FL, and NC. Appointed and certified to offer plans from Aetna, Anthem, Devoted Healthcare, HealthSpring, Humana - CarePlus, Martin’s Point, Mutual of Omaha, United Healthcare - AARP, and WellCare. We do not offer all companies and plans in all states; however, we will provide guidance to the extent state and Federal policy and law allow.

All Medicare beneficiaries are currently in the Open Enrollment Period, formerly called the Annual Enrollment Period from Oct 15th to Dec 7th. The period allows multiple enrollments during this period, with your last selection submitted before Dec 7th effective 1/1.

Anyone with a “termination letter” from their current insurer has an extra enrollment period beginning Dec 8th and continuing to Feb 28th or expiring when used. Note - your current plan still terminates 12/31.

Finally, for those enrolled in Medicare Advantage plans, the Medicare
Advantage Open Enrollment Period runs Jan 1st thru Mar 31st. This period allows for one plan change becoming effective the 1st of the month following enrollment.

This was the administrations icing on the cake. The larger damage to Medicare Advantage plans were the Part D revisions creating the cap in 2025; those changes shifted 75% of costs covered by big pharma in 2024 and prior years, back on to big healthcare removing any plan profitability in most markets. While capping did save beneficiary’s some 2/3 of costs as claimed; the forced transfer of brand name drugs costs on health insurance plans, the straw that broke them.

The Trump administration plans to end a Medicare Part D subsidy program in 2027, raising concerns about prescription drug affordability for affected beneficiaries.

The change could influence how older Americans manage medication expenses and evaluate their coverage options.

As health care costs remain a major financial concern, the decision highlights the importance of understanding which benefits are changing and how federal policy adjustments may affect vulnerable patients.
