The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services is launching a new pilot program in six states that will require prior authorization in Original Medicare for certain services--something that traditionally only Medicare Advantage plans have required. This is a major shift for Original Medicare and could signal where Medicare policy is headed in the future. If you're in Western New York, this doesn't impact you yet--but it's something we should all keep an eye on. Read about it here:

A little honesty post here. I made a career change in my late 50s. I didn't know what to expect, but I took the leap anyway. I promised myself I would give it one year before making a decision. Here's what I learned:
1. There's lots of variety, something new every day!
2. I work for a company that solves clients' problems.
3. I am able to help people so much more directly than before, and
it makes me happy to do that!
4. You CAN teach an old dog new tricks, it's not too late to change!
