Meet the staff!

Say hello to Megan—our Sales Specialist and Customer Service Representative. If you’ve called or stopped into our office, chances are Megan was the first friendly voice or face to welcome you.Megan is a Marquette High School graduate (just a year behind Jessica!).

Before joining American Family Insurance, she led teams for several major retailers as a team lead and district manager. A close family friend, Gerard Fischer, encouraged her to step into the insurance world—and he hired and mentored her through licensing and training. We’re grateful she’s continued her journey with us at McAteer and Associates, LLC!

Megan is married to Kara (also a Marquette grad and former softball teammate!), and together they’re raising their three wonderful kids right here in town. Outside of work, their family loves hiking, staying active together, and cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals and the Kansas City Chiefs.

One thing Megan wishes more people knew: bundling is often one of the best ways to help you get the best value. And when she talks about protecting your assets (like with an umbrella policy) or protecting your family (like with life insurance), it’s because she wants to help you build the right protection—and keep your premium as competitive as possible.
