When it comes to enrolling in Medicare, it pays to be on time. You have 7 months to enroll in Medicare, which is called your Initial Erollment Period. It starts 3 months BEFORE your 65th birthday and ends 3 months AFTER your 65th birthday.

If you miss this enrollment period you may have to pay a Part B enrollment penalty!
