💜 My Goals and Purpose 💜
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I’ll be honest, my goals and my purpose are probably different than you’d expect them to be. At the end of the day, the name of the game in this industry is sales and that’s where it’ll always be. Even though that’s the bread and butter of the industry, my goal isn’t to be a salesperson. It certainly isn’t my purpose either. I’m not trying to establish myself as some salesperson, and that’s not who I ever want to be. I am, however, someone who likes to keep things simple, straight, and to the point. My actual goal is to be a financial advisor. I want to learn about who I’m working with and be able to recommend things they have a genuine need for. If that means you benefit the most from a $15 a month policy that’ll help cover your most basic need at the time, then so be it! It’s not my job nor is it my place to sit there and try and upsell to line my own pockets. If you won’t benefit from a policy, I’m not going to waste my breath even mentioning it to you. Plain and simple.
At the end of the day, my promise to the people I work with is that you’ll walk away understanding more of what’s available to you and what would genuinely benefit yours and your family’s financial future. That, and I also promise you’ll walk away not feeling like your time was wasted or that you were pressured or tricked into some crazy on the spot purchase. Financial decisions are big decisions, and nothing is worse than dealing with someone who doesn’t understand or respect that. If you aren’t 100% happy or certain with a policy that’s being discussed, it’s not mine or anyone else’s place to try and make you second guess yourself.
All that said, as I’m deep diving into this new industry, my purpose is to help people. I’m treating people like people and not a paycheck, end of story. I want to help people understand the best ways they can plan ahead and show them the best ways to do that. I want to not only show them how they can take care of themselves, but their families too. And I’m going to do so by making sure they aren’t paying a penny more than necessary to reach their financial goals.
