LLPA stands for Loan-Level Price Adjustment. Sounds complicated, but it’s really just one of the things lenders use when pricing a mortgage.

A few quick facts:

✅ Your credit score matters
✅ Your down payment matters
✅ Better credit usually means lower fees
✅ Putting more money down can help lower your costs
✅ LLPAs affect your loan pricing, which can impact your rate, closing costs, or both

🚫 Myth: Everyone pays the same LLPA fees

✅ Fact: LLPAs are based on the individual loan. Two borrowers buying similar homes can end up with different pricing depending on credit, down payment, and other factors.

Bottom line: even a small bump in your credit score or a slightly larger down payment can sometimes make a noticeable difference in your mortgage costs.
