The Burn Ban for the Village of Versailles and Versailles Fire Protection District is LIFTED, Effective at 5:30 PM on 04/01/2026. Please use Caution while Burning, try to keep a Garden Hose, Bucket of water and a Rake Available.

BROWN COUNTY IS UNDER A COUNTY WIDE BURN BAN, EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY. THIS INCLUDES THE ENTIRETY OF BROWN COUNTY, TO INCLUDE THE VILLAGE OF VERSAILLES AND VERSAILLES FIRE PRETECTION DISTRICT. THIS IS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

I'm sure that Most everyone has seen the News, We are under a RED FLAG WARNING for a few days. Please refrain from Burning during this time. While we did have a little rain a few days ago, it is still dry and with the wind gust that we are getting, it can get out of control. We don't want to institute a Burn Ban, but if Fires start getting out of control, we will do what we must, Thank You

ATTENTION ! As of 3:30 PM this afternoon, Sept 22.2025. The BURN BAN IS LIFTED !. While we got a couple inches of rain, it is still pretty dry, Use Care and Caution when burning. If it does happen to get out of Control, depending on where it goes to, we may be unable to access it due to the Top layer being muddy. We recommend that if you do need to burn, Keep a Charged Garden hose or a couple of 5 gallon buckets handy. Reminder to the Village of Versailles that Burning of Yard waste ONLY is allowed and From Sunrise to Sunset. THIS APPLIES TO THE VILLAGE OF VERSAILLES and Any Resident within the confines of the VERSAILLES FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT. Thank You, Chuck Northcutt, Fire Chief, VFPD.

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, ALL OF VERSAILLES FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT IS UNDER A BURN BAN UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. ANY REPORTS OF BURNING WILL RESULT IN THE FIRE BEING EXTINGUISHED.

As it stands right now, The Movie in the Park is on For Friday night, Sept 12 behind the Firehouse. Soda and Popcorn will be FREE !! We plan on getting started at Approximately 7:30 to 7:45. Bring the Family and chairs or Blanket and enjoy, How to Train Your Dragon with us !!!!

VFD will once again be Hosting the Movie in the Park. This will be on September 12th at Dusk. When i get a better Time Frame, I will let you know on here. With the Fall Festival on the next day, Popcorn and Soda will be FREE for Everyone. Grab your Lawn Chairs and Blankets, Load up the Family and come on out. The movie will be the New How To Train Your Dragon. Come see us !

ATTENTION VILLAGE OF VERSAILLES RESIDENTS ! VFD will be flushing Fire Hydrants on August 23rd and 24th, starting at approximately 9:00 AM on both days. Saturday the 23rd will be on the WEST side of town and the 24th will be for the EAST. There will likely be Water Discoloration and Low Water Pressure While we are Flushing. This a Normal Occurrence. Discoloration will clear as water runs and Pressures will return after Flushing is done. Thank You for your Cooperation.
