Hopefully, it’s just a quick visit — but while he’s here, here are a few ways to keep you and your family safe and claim-free:

✅ Protect your pipes: Let faucets drip and open cabinet doors to keep warm air moving.
🚗 Drive smart: Watch for black ice and give yourself extra time to stop.
🏠 Stay warm safely: Keep space heaters clear of anything flammable and never leave them unattended.
🔥 Fireplace safety: Before lighting that cozy fire, make sure your chimney has been cleaned and inspected for buildup or blockages. Always use a screen to catch sparks and never leave a fire unattended.
🐾 Bring pets inside: If it’s too cold for you, it’s too cold for them!
🧂 Salt your walkways & steps:

Clear snow or slush first

Sprinkle an even layer of salt on steps, sidewalks, and driveways

Reapply after snow or ice buildup

A quick salt walk helps prevent slips, falls, and injury claims!

Did you know that if you call your claims department to inquire or ask questions about a loss, that regardless of you pursuing that claim it will be listed on your clue report as a loss. This can effect rates and ability to change providers. This is one of the big reason it is so important to have an Agent that will guide you properly and not just a 800 number to call.

We often lose sight of our gratefuls and all we have to show gratitude for. It’s easy to focus on what’s not going right. I’m challenging myself to find 3 things I’m a grateful for each morning!

Today I’m grateful for my growth, and although I am not where I thought I would be or wanted to be. I am no where near who I once was.

I am thankful for my job. Having a job that appreciates you and gives you work life balance and also makes you feel like family is rare.

And last but not least I am thankful for my support system because if it wasn’t for yall I wouldn’t be here today!
