Did you know that having insurance can save you from financial stress?

In 2020 my father unexpectedly passed away with no life insurance. I was a newly graduated, elementary school teacher (we are never paid our worth). I paid for school out of my pocket so my savings suffered a little. It was hard for my siblings and me to come up with thousands of dollars to bury my father. Plus, we weren’t sure of his wishes because that was something we never spoke about. So, for us that meant we decided and it was the toughest decision ever since we were grieving.

I would advise the younger generation under the age of 45 to get life insurance. Anyone over the age of 45 gets both life insurance and pre-need insurance to safeguard their family. Make sure everyone is insured and prepared for the unexpected financially. Also, talk to your family members about their wishes, and write them down.
