You may have heard about the new $90 Medicare Part B rebate. So here’s what you need to know. 😊

Some people with Original Medicare Part B may receive a one-time $90 payment to help offset Part B premium costs. Eligible beneficiaries do not need to apply — payments will be sent automatically by direct deposit or check.

Not everyone on Medicare will qualify. The rebate is generally for people who:
✅ Are enrolled in Original Medicare Part B
✅ Live in the United States
✅ Are not receiving Medicaid assistance that pays their Part B premium
✅ Are not paying a higher Part B premium due to income (IRMAA)

During Medicare Open Enrollment, your phone may start ringing more than usual.

Remember:
🚩 Medicare will not call you asking for your Medicare number
🚩 Be careful with “limited-time offers” or pressure tactics
🚩 Don’t share personal information with someone you don’t know

It may seem early to think about Christmas, but programs like The Salvation Army Angel Tree start planning months in advance. 🎄💙

If you know a family with children ages 0–12 who could use a little extra help this holiday season, now is the time to schedule their registration appointment. The Angel Tree program helps provide Christmas gifts and meal assistance to eligible families in Jefferson, Oldham, Bullitt, and Spencer counties.

🎁 A few important reminders:
• Registration appointments open September 8
• Only one appointment per family is needed
• Registration will take place in person in October
• Be sure to bring the required documents listed on the flyer.

The holidays are all about neighbors helping neighbors, and this is a wonderful program that helps make Christmas a little brighter for local families. ❤️

That's why I wanted to share this great program from New Directions Housing Corporation. Their Repair Affair program provides FREE home repairs for eligible seniors and people with disabilities to help make their homes safer and more accessible.

Depending on eligibility, they may be able to help with things like:
🔨 Grab bars and handrails
🚽 Bathroom accessibility improvements
🚪 Door, window, and lock repairs
💡 Minor plumbing and electrical repairs
🦽 Accessibility ramps
🏠 Roof and gutter repairs
🍂 Yard cleanup and weatherization

If you or someone you know is 60 or older, has a verified disability, and meets the income guidelines, this could be an incredible resource.
