Dolly Parton had a beauty routine that sounds absolutely wild — but there was actually a reason behind it.

She sometimes went to bed wearing her makeup.

Not because she forgot to wash her face. Not because she was too tired.

Her reasoning was surprisingly practical.

Dolly once explained that if something unexpected happened in the middle of the night — like a tornado, fire, earthquake, or another emergency — she wanted to be ready to walk outside without looking completely unprepared.

So instead of taking off her makeup before bed, she would sleep in it and wash everything properly the next morning before getting ready for the new day.

She even joked that if a tornado ever came through at night, nobody was going to catch her running down the street bare-faced. 😂

Honestly, only Dolly Parton could turn emergency preparedness into a beauty routine.

And you have to admit… that is one beauty tip you probably won't hear from anyone else. 😄

After wildfires devastated parts of East Tennessee in 2016, Dolly Parton decided she wanted to do something more than just offer words of support.

She stepped in to help families who had lost their homes and created the My People Fund.

Nearly 900 families whose homes were destroyed or became unlivable received $1,000 every month for five months.

But Dolly wasn’t finished.

When families expected one final $1,000 payment, they got a huge surprise instead.

Dolly gave them $5,000 each.

That brought the total support to $10,000 per family, with nearly $9 million ultimately distributed to people affected by the fires.

For Dolly, this wasn’t just another charitable cause. She grew up in the same region, so these families were part of the community she came from.

When they lost almost everything, she made sure they knew they weren’t facing the road back alone.

Five months of support.

And then one final $5,000 surprise.

Sometimes, helping people rebuild starts with simply reminding them that someone cares.

The recent discussion in Georgia is focused on rising farm operating costs, weaker crop margins, and the long-term survival of family farms. Lawmakers met with farmers and agriculture leaders to hear their concerns and develop possible solutions ahead of future legislation.

Georgia Farmers Are Feeling the Pressure 🇺🇸

Farming is getting more expensive, and Georgia lawmakers are looking for ways to help.

Farmers are facing higher costs for essentials like seed, fertilizer, fuel, feed, labor and land, while prices for many major crops remain under pressure. That growing gap is making it harder for family farms to stay profitable and plan for the next generation.

Lawmakers, farmers and agriculture leaders are now discussing possible solutions to lower operating costs and strengthen Georgia’s farming industry.

For many rural communities, this isn't just an agriculture issue — it's about protecting family farms, jobs and the food supply Americans depend on. 🌾

What do you think lawmakers should do to help farmers deal with rising costs?
