The Knights also promotes the Catholic faith through evangelization initiatives and offers financial security to its members and their families through highly rated financial products a

nd services. Membership in the Knights of Columbus is open to men 18 years of age or older who are practical (that is, practicing) Catholics in union with the Holy See. Today, we celebrate the feast day of Pope St. Paul VI.

Elected to succeed Pope John XXIII, Pope Paul VI presided over the last three sessions of the Second Vatican Council. His pontificate would ultimately prove consequential in guiding the Church forward in the post-conciliar era.

His most consequential encyclical, Humanae Vitae, meaningfully upholds the Church’s teaching on human sexuality and the dignity of marriage and family life. Another of his encyclicals, Evangelii Nutiandi, would lay the ground work for what we know today as the New Evangelization, which became central to the magisterium of Popes John Paul II, Benedict XVI, Francis, & Leo XIV.

May Pope St. Paul VI continue to intercede for the Church in her mission to proclaim Christ anew in the world today!

Today, we honor and pray for all of our fallen men and women who have the ultimate sacrifice for our country 🇺🇸🇺🇸

Heavenly Father, we lift up in prayer today our brothers and sisters who have gone before us, sacrificing their own lives for the protection and safety of others. We are grateful for their service. May they inspire us to live selflessly in our own lives, as Christ calls us to do. In Jesus’s name we pray. Amen.

“Graciously hear our supplications, O Lord, so that we, who believe that the Savior of the human race is with you in your glory, may experience, as he promised, until the end of the world, his abiding presence among us. Who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever.” (Collect Prayer for the Mass for the Solemnity of the Ascension).

“In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph”

This was the promise of Our Lady to Sts. Francisco & Jacinta Marto & Ven. Lucia dos Santos when she appeared to them in Fátima in 1917.

The apparitions of the Blessed Mother in Fatima conveyed to the world messages of prayer, penance & reparation.

These messages are not just wishful thinking. They are the invitation of our Lord to grow in greater holiness and friendship with Him and He invites us into that through love and friendship with His Mother.

May Our Lady of Fatima intercede for each and every one of us as we seek to make her heart known to the world!

Today, we wish all mothers a Happy and Blessed Mother’s Day!

As Catholics, we recognize the deep and rich love our Lord has for His own Mother, the Blessed Virgin Mary, so much so that He calls us to love her and know her as our Mother and greatest intercessor.

Let us pray for all mothers today that they may continue to faithfully build the domestic Church in the home and serve their vocation as the true and beautiful heart of the family!

O Mary, Mother of God & the Church, pray for us!

Today, we celebrate the anniversary of the election of Robert Francis Cardinal Prevost as the 266th successor of St. Peter, taking the name of Pope Leo XIV and becoming the first US-born pope.

Following his election, Supreme Knight Patrick Kelly shared the following statement: “The Knights of Columbus joins Catholics everywhere in celebrating the election of His Holiness Pope Leo XIV, the successor of St. Peter and spiritual leader of the Catholic Church. On behalf of our 2.1 million members around the world, I pledge our loyalty to Pope Leo XIV as well as our prayers today and every day of his pontificate. The Knights of Columbus will always stand in solidarity with Pope Leo XIV as we support the Church’s mission of evangelization through our works of charity and faith formation.”

Let us pray for our Holy Father, as he shepherds the Church as the Vicar of Christ!

To celebrate the end of the year, Friar Council 5787 at Providence College hosted their big annual Smoke, Smoke, & Smoke! Swipe ➡️ to see more.

This longstanding end of year tradition includes Mass with LOTS of incense (1st Smoke), a whole smoked pig (2nd Smoke), & ci**rs (3rd Smoke)! It was wonderful to enjoy true Catholic fraternity with so many college knights.

Is your college council celebrating the end of the school year in a special way? Send us photos!
