Step THREE: What to include in a Hardship Letter:
(a) Loan Number
(b) Self Introduction (Name, Address, Contact Number)
(c) Household introduction
(d) When did you purchase the property
(e) WHEN (Month/Yr) was the last time you refinanced and WHY;
(f) When & How did your hardship begin?
(g) Did you make plans to address the hardship?
(h) When did you miss your first mortgage payment?
(i) How long do you expect your hardship to last?
(j) Do you wish to KEEP you home or DISPOSE of it?
(k) If you wish to KEEP your home, do you have a plan?
(l) Are you expecting an increase in income? Or when do you expect to resume regular monthly payment;
(m) What monthly payment are you able to make with current income or situation?
(n) What assistance would you like the bank to provide for you?
(o) Your signature and date

FC Prevention Step TWO: Start gathering documents: (1) Copies of most tax returns (two years); (2) Copies of most recent pay stubs (three months); (3) Copies of most recent mortgage statements (three months); (4) Copies of most recent bank statements (four months); (5) Any letters or documents received from mortgage company; (6) Prepare a hardship letter;

(2) Did my spending habit contribute to my current situation? (3) Is my hardship short term or long term in nature? (4) What do I want to achieve in working with my lender?
