Sooooo..I thought about this a lot and I think I have to talk about it.
Since 2005 I have done makeup and hair for feature films, TV commercials, fashion shows,photoshoots, weddings, special events and probably more I can't even remember right now. I have done it for many years and it had its rewards at times but the industry has changed in general and for me as well.
We have come to the days where everyone wants to look like Kim Kardashian with extreme contour ( which drag and theater did first btw) and well no one wants to pay anything to get their makeup and hair done because they can just go watch you tube or have their cousin in makeup school do it.
This made me lose passion for it a bit and to be honest I want to "hang up" my makeup brushes and hairspray and just be done with it...
So I'm trying one last time in this current moment of financial woahs to book some appointments for the rest of this month and maybe Halloween. If anyone wants makeup, hair done for any event (birthday, tiki Oasis, pictures, date night or even a makeover) I'm going to be charging $50 for each(hair or makeup) for this time I'm allowing to have left. This is incredibly low for my services!
But it's because I'm ready to let go after this and go down a whole entire different path more related to healing and helping people. Makeup was fun and I still got the skills in me always but I can't wait to follow another path in life!
