This is heartbreaking 😢
Message from the Father:
September 4th was the worst day of my life. I had to lay my baby to rest, and my life completely changed. My Leroy Stroud Jr. is gone.
He was left behind by the people who were supposed to always have his back. The green—everybody bleeds green in the Army. The nightmare is real. My boy is now a memory.
Accountability. Fort Hood, y’all know you failed in every way.
I’m fighting for you, Son.
I know there are others who have been mistreated by the high brass and feel like there is no way to win.
Please don’t get frustrated. Do everything you need to do. Run. Come home to your loved ones. We love you at home.
You are a human being first, then a soldier.
Don’t let them mentally downgrade how you feel.
It’s okay to be sick. It’s okay to be weak. Please, anyone who needs help, fight for yourself by any means necessary.
What happened to my baby could have been completely avoided. Please share this and bring attention to Fort Hood and to soldiers around the world.
We love them, and we want the best for them. I lost my child. No one else should have to suffer a loss this way.
Leroy Stroud
PFC Leroy Stroud Jr.’s family alleges that Fort Hood personnel failed to provide him with timely medical attention while he was experiencing a serious medical crisis. His father is demanding answers and accountability, saying the Army failed his son.
