Today, September 10th, marks World Su***de Prevention Day. Let us all raise awareness of the role we play as organizations and as individuals in making a difference.
At The Positive Results Corporation, we believe that everyone deserves to feel supported and valued, especially during the most challenging moments in their lives. That's why we prioritize mental health and well-being initiatives for our communities.
For example, we train Black and Brown Transitional Aged Youth to be Mental Health Ambassadors. They participate in a PAID 12-week program having impactful conversations to address mental health issues.

Suicidal ideation is a complex problem affecting people of all ages, from all walks of life with many contributing factors, including mental health conditions, stress, and social isolation.
There’s really a single thing to drive someone to attempt su***de, and similarly there are many factors – from bullying to stigma to childhood trauma and racism – but no one caused it could help to explain the increase in su***de among black youth. (according to an article in Time.com)
We have a responsibility to spread hope, challenge the negative stigmas that paint this issue and provide resources for su***de prevention.
