Wanting to apply for a home loan soon? Here’s something to keep in mind when providing your loan officer with your documentation!
🔴 We review your bank statements to look for any recurring payments that may not show on credit, and to verify any large deposits so we have the appropriate funds for closing
🔴 Affirm, Klarna, AfterPay and whatever other monthly installments HAVE TO be included in your debt-to-income ratio ‼️
🔴 When we see Affirm, Klarna, etc on your banking, please be prepared to get us documentation to show what your current balance and monthly payments are. Not every company makes it easy for you to access an actual statement 👀

These “get now pay later” companies make it SO easy to acquire items you want (or need) easily, just be aware that if you are in the home buying process (or wanting to start that process soon) we will be asking for additional information and documentation. Please be kind if your loan officer is asking for this, we are just doing our job.
