Fun IUL FACT:

Unlike your traditional IRA, 403(b), 401(k), 529s etc, your IUL (indexed universal life) fund is protected from any losses that would occur during market crash. That protection is called “the floor” and usually that floor is set between 0% to .25%.

Example:
From 2000-2003 the S&P had a return of -9.10%, -11.89%, & -22.10% respectively. In 2008, -38%.

Those with IULs wouldn’t have incurred losses, instead, they “flatline” with 0%.

BUT you still get the upside gains when our markets do well.

I don’t know about you, but I’d rather err on the side of safety than high risk of loss!
