At some point we need to admit this is not just a budgeting conversation.

Here’s a good one! You know I’ll be wearing one in my casket. ⚰️

At 72, I saw a woman my age at the beach wearing a revealing swimsuit and confidently showing off her body. It made me wonder if dressing more modestly is better at our age.

Yesterday, I noticed her walking along the shore, looking like someone much younger. While I admired her confidence, I began to question whether there comes a time when modesty feels more appropriate.

I decided to speak with her and gently suggested that a slightly more modest outfit might suit someone our age. To my surprise, she laughed it off, which I didn’t expect. I thought my comment was kind, but she didn’t take it seriously.

This made me reflect further—shouldn’t we embrace grace and elegance as we grow older? Displaying ourselves in certain ways can feel out of place when we’re in our 70s. Am I being too old-fashioned, or is there some truth to adjusting our appearance to reflect the dignity of age? What do you think?
