A little more about me… 📚

I absolutely love to read. Historical fiction has always been my favorite genre, especially Biblical historical fiction. There’s something about stories that weave history, faith, sacrifice, and redemption together that pulls me right in.

I recently finished Long Way Gone by Charles Martin, and I honestly think it may have taken the title of my favorite book.

The story beautifully tells the story of the prodigal son in a way that makes the nuances of it feel understandable in our modern-day culture. It’s powerful, redemptive, and one of those books that stays with you long after you finish the last page.

If you’re a reader, I’d love to know — what’s a book that stuck with you long after you finished it?

One of the biggest things I hear is, “I’m so confused by all the letters.” And honestly? I get it. Medicare can feel like learning a whole new language.

That’s why I love sitting down with people and helping them understand how the pieces fit together — not just what each part means, but how it applies to their doctors, prescriptions, budget, and lifestyle.

There’s no one-size-fits-all answer, and you don’t have to figure it out alone.

As an RN and independent Medicare agent, education is a huge part of what I do. Questions are always welcome. ❤️

Big news! 🎉

I’m now able to help clients with Marketplace coverage in addition to Medicare.

One of the biggest concerns I hear from people considering retirement is:
“What do I do for health insurance before Medicare starts?”

Whether you’re retiring early, losing employer coverage, self-employed, or simply in that in-between season before Medicare eligibility, I can now help bridge that gap and walk you through your options.

As always, my goal is education first — helping you understand what’s available so you can make the best decision for your situation. ❤️

If you or someone you know is navigating that transition, I’d love to help.

One of the things I treasure most about what I do is being invited into someone’s home to sit around their kitchen table and talk about Medicare.
It’s never “just insurance.”

It’s stories about grandkids. Pictures on the fridge. Conversations about retirement, health concerns, budgets, and hopes for the future. It’s trust.

In a world that pushes everything online and through call centers, I still believe there’s something special about face-to-face conversations and helping people feel seen, heard, and cared for.

Thank you to every family that has welcomed me into their home. It’s a privilege I never take lightly. ❤️

Medigap (Medicare Supplement) = coverage that helps fill in the gaps.

These plans work alongside Original Medicare (Part A & Part B) to help cover things like deductibles, coinsurance, and that 20% you’d otherwise pay out of pocket.

With Medigap, you typically have more freedom to see providers nationwide who accept Medicare—no networks to worry about.

From my RN perspective, this is a great option for those who want predictability in their costs and flexibility in choosing doctors.

One important note: Medigap does NOT include prescription drug coverage, so you’d pair it with a Part D plan.

It’s not one-size-fits-all, but for many, it brings peace of mind knowing fewer surprise bills are waiting 💛

Mother’s Day looks different for everyone. ❤️

For some, it’s full tables, flowers, and celebration.

For others, it carries grief, longing, exhaustion, or memories.

Today, I’m thankful for the women who nurture, encourage, pray, sacrifice, teach, show up, and love faithfully day after day. The impact of a Godly woman reaches farther than she may ever realize.

Happy Mother’s Day to the moms, grandmas, spiritual mothers, foster moms, bonus moms, and women who love others well. You are seen, appreciated, and deeply valuable.

I want to hear from YOU for a minute 👇

When it comes to Medicare and health insurance… what do you actually want to learn more about?

I never want this page to feel like noise—I want it to be helpful, clear, and worth your time.

Here are a few ideas I could cover more of:
• What to do when you’re turning 65
• Common (and costly) mistakes to avoid
• How I help clients choose the right plan—not just the flashy one
• Real-life scenarios I see as an RN + agent
• Special Enrollment Periods (when you can still make changes)

Or… something totally different?

Drop a comment or send me a message telling me what you’d want more of 👇

I’m here to serve you—not just sell something. 💙

Medicare Part D = your prescription drug coverage.
These plans help cover the cost of your medications and are offered through private insurance companies.

Each plan has its own formulary (drug list), so not all medications are covered the same—and costs can vary based on the tier your drug falls into.

From my RN perspective, this is where details really matter. I always tell clients:
👉 Don’t just pick a plan—make sure your specific medications are covered well.

And one big tip: even if you don’t take medications now, don’t skip Part D unless you have other creditable coverage… or you could face a penalty later.

A little planning here can save you a lot of money (and headaches) down the road 💊💛

Medicare Part C = Medicare Advantage.
These are plans offered by private insurance companies that combine your Part A + Part B coverage into one plan—and often include extras like dental, vision, hearing, and even prescription drug coverage.

Many plans have low or even $0 premiums, but they work a little differently—you’ll typically use a network of doctors and have set copays for services.

From my RN perspective, this is where I encourage people to look beyond the “extras” and really understand how the plan works for their doctors, medications, and overall health needs.

Because at the end of the day, the best plan isn’t the one with the biggest perks… it’s the one that fits you 💛
