The beginning of Open Enrollment Period is sneaking up fast. 👀 If I haven’t worked with you in prior seasons, let’s chat soon… like THIS Thursday soon. 😉 I’d love time to get to know you and all the details that matter to you so we’re ready to shop when OEP for the Marketplace begins on November 1. Need a different day or time? I offer flexible scheduling, including evening and weekend appointments upon request.

Returning clients: I appreciate you and can’t wait to serve you again this season. ♥️ Please get me all your updated info (doctors, meds, income) so I can review your options for plan year 2027. If you lost your forms or need me to email them again, just let me know.

✨ Sometimes life brings you full circle in the most beautiful, unexpected way. ✨

After several seasons of working remotely, I’m SO excited to share that I have an office at Arrive Coworking + Community to serve you even better, just in time for Open Enrollment! ☺️

But part of what makes this moment so special is WHERE it is.

It’s the very same building where I started my corporate career as a newly single mom. That was a job I took largely because I needed health insurance benefits for my kids and myself.

Back then, I was walking into the building simply trying to make ends meet and doing whatever it took to build a better future for my family. I never imagined I’d return one day as a small business owner, helping others navigate their health insurance benefits and build futures of their own. Surreal.

It’s a reminder that sometimes the things we do out of necessity become the foundation for something so much bigger.

Same building. Different chapter. New purpose.

I’m forever grateful for how far the Lord has brought me, the incredible people I get to serve, and for the opportunity to turn my own experiences into something meaningful for others.

You may finish each other’s sentences, share the same sense of humor, and even have the same favorite brunch spot… BUT when it comes to health insurance, you’re two VERY different people with different needs! 🩺✨

You have different providers, different meds, different priorities, and different things that matter when it comes to your coverage.

Be honest, who still even checks their mail in 2026?!

And no, looking at it from the driveway doesn’t count. 🤣

If you are my current client AND you haven’t checked it lately, right now would be a GREAT time to go see what’s happening in there. 👀 There SHOULD be some mail from your favorite neighborhood health insurance broker (that’s me, heyyy! 💁‍♀️) with info about the Marketplace Open Enrollment Period for Plan Year 2027! 💌

So go open that mailbox, move those grocery store coupons out of the way, and see what I sent you last week! (I know we’re on a first name basis around here BUT look for something official looking from Modern Health Solutions. 😉)

‼️ If you’re self-employed, own a small business, or your income is… unpredictable, listen up.

This piece of the puzzle stresses people out the most… 🧩💸 I hear it ALL the time: “How am I even supposed to know how much I’ll make?”

Marketplace Open Enrollment Period for 2027 is right around the corner, and your projected 2027 MAGI (modified adjusted gross income) matters when it comes to reviewing your coverage options and potential premium tax credits you may qualify for.

So before OEP gets here and everyone is scrambling, call your accountant today and start figuring out what that 2027 income number might realistically look like for your tax household.

Because “I’ll just wing it” is not a solid financial plan. 👀

As I prepare for 2027 OEP, I have some big personal goals this year during my busiest season.

I’m not talking about sales or ROI.

One of my biggest goals going into the chaos of OEP is to intentionally carve out time for my personal and family goals this year.

Stress can easily become your whole personality if left unchecked. Part of challenging that pattern of stress is taking control of your time and choosing how you spend it.

As a health insurance broker, I deeply believe in holistic health: physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual. That looks different for each of us but matters significantly for all of us.

When we let stress or chaos dictate our choices, our health as a whole is directly impacted. Sometimes it’s a slow creep (adding *just* one more thing to an already overfilled calendar) or it can look like saying “yes” to everything and everyone except yourself. Our bodies and minds keep score and eventually it catches up to us.

This is just a reminder to take a little step towards whatever will elevate your wellbeing: a brisk walk around the block to clear your mind for a few minutes and refresh, a couple really deep breaths to reset in a difficult moment, or even taking a minute to practice gratitude. It doesn’t always have to be a huge ordeal and the little habits compound into bigger shifts over time.

I was thankful to take time this weekend to pause, reflect, relax, refresh, and refocus at Arrive Coworking. I’m definitely still growing and learning how to take time for myself without feeling guilty but the more I practice it, the more I realize it’s a necessity and NOT an option if I want to reach my goals. Burnout can be the thief of health, nutrition, joy, family time, growth, and the list goes on.

Be kind to yourself. Give yourself grace. And remember YOU are important too. 🫶
