This is sad to see with so few options available as it is, Thin Blue Line was a Carrier for retired first responders to have Insurance before they reached Medicare Age.

Thin Blue Line Benefits has not paid hundreds of thousands of dollars in medical claims for retired first responders in Ohio, a lawsuit says.

This is not the first Carrier I have seen stop taking on new business. Life Insurance has a segment known as “Final Expense” and there are Carriers who specialize in that segment. Some of these Carriers are no longer taking new business, Lumico, Great Western, CFG and more. While price is obviously important, longevity is also a factor in which Carriers I choose to have in my portfolio for each benefit I offer.
