PAM RABE RETIRES FROM LIBERTY BANK

Liberty Bank has announced the retirement of “customer service expert” Pam Rabe, from the North Adams Banking Center in Ursa.

Pam started her banking career in 1981 at Illinois State Bank in Quincy, working in their loan department. She then worked for Niemann Foods in their corporate office as an Administrative Assistant to the President and supervisor of the secretarial staff. Later she worked for Jim Hesse Builders and Poly Molds as their office assistant.

At one point, Pam even started her own butterfly-raising business, Backyard Butterflies, selling monarch butterflies for “releases” at weddings, funerals and other special events. She was even shipping them as far away as Canada. Butterflies are still a very special interest of Pam’s.

She then “came back home” to banking. “Lisa Seals recruited me to come to the North Adams State Bank in 2004. I worked as a customer service representative and proof operator and then continued my career when we merged with Liberty Bank until my retirement at the end of April.” Pam explained. “I have always enjoyed working for family-owned, local businesses. I will sure miss serving my friends, relatives and neighbors every day!”

Mark Field, President of Liberty Bank commended Pam for her years of service to our community. “Pam is one of those folks who knew everybody and, more importantly, was a true friend to them. We will absolutely miss her smiling face and we are hopeful that the Good Lord will bring to us another awesome community banker, just like Pam, to take her place!” “Pam also declined to let us have an open house at the bank to commemorate her retirement – just like Lisa!” Field concluded.

Pam and her husband, Michael, have one son, Clayton, who, together with his wife Julia and three children: Wyatt, Reagan and Eden, all live in Eastern Iowa.

The first question people are asked upon retirement is “What are you going to do with your time?” Pam doesn’t miss a beat when she replies: “I look forward to traveling, going to car shows, camping out and spending more time with our grandchildren. I’ll even be able to attend their school and sporting events more often now!”
