We can't stop time, but we CAN make the most of it. Seize the day and take control of your LIFE!

The 7 Baby Steps will help:

1. Save $1,000 for your starter emergency fund.

2. Pay off all debt (except for the house) using the debt snowball.

3. Save 3 to 6 months of expenses in a fully funded emergency fund.

4. Invest 15% of your household income in retirement.

5. Save for your children’s college fund.

6. Pay off your home early.

7. Build wealth and give.

I recently read the book "The Art of Spending Money" by Morgan Housel. In the end, he listed a few simple thoughts that guide how he thinks about money in his home. I thought they were too good not to share.

Spend less than you make.

Quietly compound.

Money serves you, not the other way around.

No one is thinking about you as much as you are.

Independence is wealth.

Health is wealth.

Aim to be a good ancestor.

Love your family.

🛒 Struggling to Stay Within Your Grocery Budget?

Groceries are one of the easiest places for a budget to get out of control.

You walk into the store planning to spend $120…
…and somehow leave spending $185.

Here’s a simple trick I recommend to stay on track 👇

💡 Use Walmart Online to Plan Your Groceries

Before you go to the store:

1️⃣ Go to the Walmart website or app
2️⃣ Add everything you need for the week to your cart
3️⃣ Watch the total as you build your list
4️⃣ Adjust items until it fits your grocery budget

Now you know exactly what you’ll spend before you shop.

Why This Works

✔️ No surprise totals at checkout
✔️ Helps you stick to your budget
✔️ Makes it easier to remove impulse items
✔️ Saves time wandering the store

You can even shop directly from your cart or use it as your list when you go in.

🧠 Pro Tip

If your weekly grocery budget is $150, build your cart to about $135–$140 to leave room for small changes or price differences.

“If everything you own has a payment, you don’t own it.”

A car payment.
A credit card payment.
A furniture payment.
A phone payment.

Little by little, your paycheck gets claimed before you even receive it.

It may feel normal — but normal is living stressed, broke, and paycheck to paycheck.

Real ownership looks different.

It looks like:
• No payments
• Money in the bank
• Margin in your budget

Start eliminating payments and taking back control of your income.

That’s where financial peace begins.

“I don’t need insurance… I rent.”

That’s one of the biggest myths out there.

Yes — the building isn’t yours.
But everything inside it is.

If there’s a fire, theft, or water damage…

Your landlord’s insurance covers the building.
It does NOT cover:

• Your furniture
• Your clothes
• Your electronics
• Your appliances
• Your personal belongings

If you had to replace everything tomorrow — could you?

Renter’s insurance is usually inexpensive.
But replacing everything you own?
That’s not.

For a small monthly cost, you protect:
✔ Your belongings
✔ Your liability
✔ Your peace of mind

Insurance isn’t about owning the building.
It’s about protecting what you’ve worked hard for.

If you rent and don’t have renter’s insurance, it’s worth looking into.

You don’t build wealth overnight.

You build it:
• Budget by budget
• Payment by payment
• Investment by investment
• Month by month

Culture says “get rich quick.”
Scripture says “grow slow and steady.”

Before you can be trusted with more,
you have to be faithful with little.

Small, consistent steps create lasting wealth.

Stay disciplined.
Stay patient.
Keep gathering little by little.

It adds up.

DON’T YOU DARE QUIT NOW.

You didn’t come this far to stay broke.

You’re tired?
Good.

That means you’re working.

You’re sick of saying no?
Good.

That means you’re serious.

Every sacrifice right now is separating you from the crowd.

Most people won’t budget.
Most people won’t sacrifice.
Most people stay stuck.

But not you.

You’re cutting expenses.
You’re selling stuff.
You’re working extra.
You’re attacking debt with intensity.

Why?

Because normal is broke.
Normal is payments.
Normal is stress.

And you decided you’re done being normal.

This season is temporary.

The freedom on the other side?
That’s permanent.

Stay focused.
Stay intense.
Stay disciplined.

You are building a life most people only talk about.
