I say this in all honesty, this finance industry has been a battle of ups and downs, but looking back at these 5 awards I got in just my 6 month tenure proves to me that I have been helping families and individuals feel secure in their insurance, and financial well-being.

I hope to continue to learn as much as I can, grow my business to something I can be proud of, as well as teach the general public everything the school system isn’t. Money doesn’t make you happy, but effecient money practices can make your life a hell of a lot less stressful.

This post is for me to look back on my accomplishments as I navigate the industry, this is just the beginning!!

Tip #1: Make sure to read your employer benefit package, understand the terms and conditions of the contract, and possibly look into owning your benefits

Employee benefits are not always what they seem, they are often taxed before the benefit is giving out(Life, Disability). More often then not they do not travel with the employee after retirement or after leaving the company. Lastly, they often have fine print in the contract that many people are not aware of, for example "if believed to be beneficial for the company, Company XYZ is not obligated to match contributions to the 401K for the benefit of the company".
