SpaceX is now worth more than the entire crypto market.

Most people will see a comparison.

I see a signal.

The world is being rebuilt through infrastructure.

Physical infrastructure.

Digital infrastructure.

AI infrastructure.

That’s where I’m investing.

That’s where I’m building.

And I think we’re still very early.

I’ve always loved being on the water.

Maybe it’s the Brit in me. I think we’re drawn to it.

No matter how many cities I visit, there’s something about seeing them from the water that makes you slow down and appreciate them differently.

Istanbul os no exception

Early flight. Sunrise at Heathrow.

For all the planning, meetings, deals, deadlines and calls, I still enjoy stopping for a moment, having a cup of tea and taking it all in.

We’re all focused on what’s next. Sometimes it’s important to appreciate where you are, enjoy the moment and be thankful for the opportunities life gives us.

Off to America.

Taking in the energy of the city. Crazy to think this was 2 weeks ago , times flys

Spending some time with my thoughts, working through the final pieces of the book, and planning the week ahead.

There is always another goal to chase.

I’ve learned it’s just as important to enjoy the moments in between.

Huge respect to Elon Musk and the SpaceX team.

What they have built is extraordinary.

A $10,000 investment in SpaceX in October 2010 would be worth around $18 million today.

Most people would take that return every day of the week.

What I find fascinating is that the same $10,000 invested into Bitcoin would have grown to around $6 billion.

Not because Bitcoin was obvious.

It wasn’t.

Both looked risky.

Both were criticised.

Both were dismissed by a lot of smart people.

That’s usually the point.

The biggest opportunities rarely come wrapped in certainty.

If everyone agrees, the opportunity has often gone.

Over the last few months I’ve heard every reason why Bitcoin won’t work.

The funny thing is I’ve heard most of them before.

Different headlines. Different cycle. Same human behaviour.

The people who benefited weren’t necessarily the smartest.

They were the people who recognised an opportunity, had conviction and stayed the course when everyone else was telling them they were wrong.

Time in the market beats timing the market.

Carpe Diem.

Every Bitcoin cycle comes with a different story.

In 2015 it was the end of Bitcoin.

In 2018 it was regulation.

In 2022 it was inflation, rising rates and industry failures.

Today it’s tariffs, jobs data, recession fears and macro uncertainty.

The headlines change.

The cycle doesn’t.

After more than 20 years in financial services and over a decade studying Bitcoin, one thing has become clear: markets are driven as much by human behaviour as they are by fundamentals.

Near the top, people convince themselves prices can only go higher.

Near the bottom, they convince themselves things can only get worse.

Fear and greed.

Different names. Different headlines. Same emotions.

That’s why I spend less time trying to predict tomorrow’s news and more time trying to understand where we are in the cycle.

Most people focus on the headline.

I focus on the pattern.

Different headlines. Same cycle.

When you’re surrounded by noise, everything feels important.

A few hours out at sea reminds you that clarity often comes from distance.

Not more information.

Just more perspective.

The longer I spend in business, investing and technology, the more convinced I become that winning isn’t about seeing more.

It’s about seeing what others miss.

And understanding how it all connects.

And utilising it

“Price is what you pay. Value is what you get.”

It’s one of Warren Buffett’s most famous quotes, and I think it’s one of the most misunderstood.

Most people focus on price.

Investors focus on value.

I’ve seen people avoid property because it looked expensive.

I’ve seen people dismiss shares because they thought they’d missed the opportunity.

And I’ve seen people write off Bitcoin, AI and entire industries because they were focused on today’s price rather than tomorrow’s potential.

The question I’ve always found most interesting isn’t whether something is up or down.

It’s whether the value has changed.

The market changes.

Human behaviour doesn’t.
