Do you want the bad news or the awesomely good news about breaking the paycheck-to-paycheck cycle?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I'm gonna pretend you said bad news first.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Every single one of my clients that finally broke the paycheck-to-paycheck cycle worked their butts off.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
No, not making more money. Though wouldn't that be nice?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But, they changed their mindset that this is a *MAJOR* hurdle that we needed to overcome.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
They learned it wasn't going to happen in 1 paycheck.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
That it took repeated effort, over multiple paychecks, to break this cycle.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
They stayed super committed to it.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Setbacks, of course, happened.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Being discouraged happened.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I know, you're thinking... who would sign up for such a thing?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This stuff is hard. No doubt.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here's where we turned the corner:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We focused on 1 paycheck at a time. Then we made it to the next check.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We put blinders on to everything else but the 2-week time period we were in. I can't say that enough.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Those weeks, though seemingly inconsequential, are what make or break your ability to get out of the paycheck-to-paycheck cycle.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It eventually led to this good news:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The ever-after rainbow of your efforts will absolutely, positively change your life.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You'll feel the weight lifted off of you....
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀...like a coat that you didn't know was so heavy...it's now gone.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You see the impossible happening - paying for things in cash, discipline to wait on buying something even though others around you say you 'deserve it', you make tradeoffs for those things you really love.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You also get a taste of financial freedom as debt balances go down and your money stays in your account.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You get margin in your finances, something you never felt before.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You begin to trust yourself with money.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What do you think....is the reward worth the work to break this cycle?
