According to the Sleep Foundation, caffeine has a half life of six hours, meaning it takes 12 hours for your body to eliminate it. Since it’s a stimulant, it can interfere with your sleep cycle and keep you awake long after you’ve consumed it. Limit your caffeine to your morning cup of Joe and you should be good to rest easy.
