Ketchikan Humane Society supports KKMR - Ketchikan Kitten and Mother Rescue. They are a new nonprofit and provide a service that our shelter is not equipped to handle.

Join us in making a positive impact on the lives of our furry friends and our community. By spaying and neutering our pets, we can prevent overpopulation, avoid unnecessary euthanasia, and promote animal welfare. A single unspayed dog can have two litters annually, with six to ten puppies per litter. In just seven years, one unspayed dog and her offspring can result in up to 508 puppies.
