Pat and Tami moved the company to Grand Island in 1985 and then to Kearney in 1993. After the move to Kearney, Moore Construction began building homes in the Eastbrooke and Stoneridge developments located northeast of town, in the Rolling Hills development located west of town, as well as in the Parkview Estates development located southwest of town. Moore Construction was incorporated in 2000. Th
e Parkview Estates is a development of Kelly and Laureen Rapp. Their partnership with Moore Construction, Inc has resulted in the unfolding of one of Kearney's newest and most progressive neighborhoods. The main highlights of the Parkview Estates neighborhood is the location—it is walking distance to the new Kenwood Elementary School, Yanney Park, and the swimming pool & disc golf field in Centenial Park. In 2003, Moore Construction, Inc was nominated for the Nebraska Better Business Bureau’s Integrity award and received the Business Integrity Award for Service Excellence. The company was honored with the BBB's Bronze Member Plaque for being a member for 10 years (2001-2011). Moore Construction, Inc is currently a member of the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and West Central Nebraska Home Builders Association (WCNHBA) where Tami serves on the Board. Tami was also awarded with the 'Best Builder of 2011.'
Moore Construction, Inc has become one of the largest residential building firms in the community, with many sales coming from word-of-mouth referrals. Over the years, Moore Construction, Inc has evolved into a family-like team of employees, subcontractors, vendors, and other business agents resulting in efficient and effective use of time and materials to better suit the Kearney community and their future homeowners. Jamie O’Connor came on board with Moore Construction in 2002. From an employee, to Lead Foreman, to Vice President of Operations and part owner, he has become an essential part of the company. In 2009, Jamie took over as the builder for Moore Construction, Inc and in 2012 took over as the company's President. O'Connor was then added to the company's name: Moore-O'Connor Construction, Inc. Jamie continues the company’s customer satisfaction reputation built by the late Pat Moore.
