His distinguished career includes multiple deployments to Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom, where he led combat operations as a Company Commander, and later as the commander of Task Force Iron Gray, overseeing a brigade of over 1,000 soldiers from six states in the Horn of Africa.

In addition to his operational accomplishments, COL Tantillo is a decorated officer whose accolades include the Defense Superior Service Medal, the Bronze Star Medal (2x), the Legion of Merit, and the prestigious Order of Saint Maurice, among many others. His expertise extends beyond the battlefield, with advanced military education from the U.S. Army War College and civilian credentials that include a Juris Doctorate from Quinnipiac University School of Law.
