We are excited to announce that we have begun offering SOLA coverage to our clients!

What is Sola? Simply put, it's tornado/wind/hail coverage that can be used to help offset the high deductibles of today's home insurance.

Let's say you have a $5000 wind/hail deductible but it would be tough for you to cover that full deductible if there were a major hailstorm. You can get a SOLA policy in addition to your home policy for only $30/mo. ($30 is rated on my primary home location, which is in a higher hail

There is no deductible and this does NOT report claims to your primary insurance company.

Three coverages. Three very different claim outcomes.

Not all insurance pays the same after a loss—especially in winter claims.

• Replacement Cost (RC): Pays what it costs to replace today with like kind and quality
• Actual Cash Value (ACV): Replacement cost minus depreciation
• Functional Replacement Cost (FRC): Pays to restore function, not original materials

Where FRC usually applies:
✔️ Older homes
✔️ Homes with outdated or hard-to-source materials
✔️ Situations where modern materials are used instead of original construction

In winter losses (pipes, roofs, water damage), this difference can mean thousands out of pocket. Always know which one your policy uses.
