We’re still smiling about the great day we had earlier this week at the FEI Kansas City Golf Tournament at The Bluffs at The National. ⛳

Thank you to our golfers, sponsors and volunteers for helping make this year’s tournament such a success. From the Rise & Shine Bar and on-course contests to the post-round reception and networking, it was a fantastic day of camaraderie, competition, and connection within Kansas City’s finance community.

Finance Forward: Entrepreneurship & Self Care as a Leadership Tool was a wonderful evening of connection, conversation, and community at Sojourn Spa on the Plaza.

We were honored to feature a fireside chat with Ashley McClellan, Founder of Sojourn Spa, and Connie Zack, Co-Founder of Sunlighten, who shared candid insights on leadership, entrepreneurship, and wellbeing. Their openness in discussing both successes and learning moments made for an especially impactful discussion.

A key takeaway from the evening: the traditional idea of “work-life balance” may not be the goal—instead, many leaders are shifting toward work-life integration as a more realistic and sustainable approach.

The fireside chat format resonated strongly with attendees, offering a personal, story-driven perspective that sparked meaningful reflection and conversation throughout the evening.

Great conversations and practical insights at our recent FEI Kansas City Insight Forum on Practical AI.

Thank you to Lanny Morrow of Forvis Mazars for delivering an engaging and practical session on how organizations can begin using AI today to drive efficiency and impact. The discussion included several real-world case studies, including examples highlighting how AI can support donor engagement and strategy in nonprofit organizations.

We’re also grateful to SkillPath for hosting and providing a great space for learning, discussion, and connection.
