Do you understand the distinctions between H.M.O. and P.P.O.?

Here's a Quick Overview ⬇️

Within an HMO, consider your primary care doctor as the central point for all your healthcare requirements. It's crucial to get your medical services from providers within your network.

On the other hand, with a PPO, seeing a specialist doesn't require a referral from your primary doctor. You also have the flexibility to get medical services outside your plan's network, though this might come with a higher co-pay.

Individuals with creditable coverage, when their Initial Enrollment Period (IEP) begins, are not required to sign up during their IEP and can postpone enrollment until their employer insurance ends.

Special Enrollment Periods can also be granted if an individual has a significant life change, like moving.
