Divest/Reinvest Kalamazoo

Divest/Reinvest Kalamazoo A peaceful effort to move our endowment investments out of fossil fuels and toward a more sustainable, just future. Let's Divest.

Currently, Kalamazoo College also has no established mechanism for determining the environmental and social impact of our endowment investments. We believe Kalamazoo College has an opportunity to reform these policies, show its commitment to its progressive values, and use its investments as a force for environmental and social responsibility. If you are at all interested in joining this movement

or just learning more about divestment at Kalamazoo College, please contact [email protected].

is under way across the country. Democracy Spring protesters are committing civil disobedience at our nation’s capital to demand real democracy, students at numerous institutions are risking arrest (and being arrested) to demand their institutions divest from toxic fossil fuel industries, and communities/regions across the country are preparing to stand up to fossil fuel industries and commit civil disobedience for Break Free actions. Youth are rising up and reclaiming power, and as evidenced by Yale's divestment announcement today, we are also winning. We will not stop working and we will not stop winning.

The Clinton Foundation has accepted millions of dollars directly from major fossil fuel companies for years, including fossil fuel giant Exxon. Tell them to stop taking dirty money, and divest from fossil fuels.

The Federal Court recognizes the damage to human life that Fossil Fuels create, and allows youth plaintiffs to seek justice in the courts for the health issues they will face in their adulthood as they try to fulfill their right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Divest/Reinvest Kalamazoo stands with these youths in solidarity as we work to lessen out impact on the health of future generations and divest from the industry that threatens them.
