This one was special. 🏡

Helping dear friends purchase a home is something I've had the privilege of doing a few times now. But it's always different when it's the first home.

And make no mistake — the loan process can be hard. There's a lot at stake, plenty of moving parts, and it's no lazy river.

What got this one across the finish line was the steadfast flexibility and agility of this couple. They asked tons of questions — which is exactly what you should do.

As is often the case, document requests came in right up to the very end. These beautiful souls met every single request without complaint, staying curious and committed throughout.

That's the attitude that makes the dance work.

April is a joyfully busy month in the Mitchell household. Three of our four celebrated birthdays - 10, 12, and 15! No more single-digit kids in this house. Plus, a driver! (That's why Ben looks so serious--first time behind the wheel🚦). Nora Jane had her 8th grade formal--and I basically saw her getting married in my head. So I cried. Like a lot.😭

Massive shoutout to for what really should be a month-long celebration of her❤️🙌. While she wouldn't like any picture I posted, at least I chose one of her looking at the camera!

Soaking in the moments both big and small. But the older they get, even the small moments seem big. Time is undefeated.

First-time buyers with a BIG dream. And a transaction that did NOT go according to plan— but that's real life, and that's exactly why having the right team matters.

When an unexpected complication popped up at the 13th hour, we didn't panic. We picked up the phone, got creative, and got it DONE. 💪 It also helps when the seller and buyer agents are cool under pressure!

Today looks like sunshine, salty air, and my kids scattered between the pool and the kitchen—some swimming, some baking, all making memories. And right in the middle of it, I stepped away for a few minutes to take a call from a realtor and buyer who are ready to make a move if they find the one.

Because here’s the truth: I deeply value this time with my family… and I care just as much about showing up for my clients when it matters most.

A quick break to work on a file and get a pre-approval in place can be the difference between getting the house or missing it. Timing matters in this market, and I don’t take that lightly.

So no, I’m not “always working”… but I am always committed.

Back to the beach, the laughter, and probably a taste test of whatever’s coming out of the oven soon ☀️🏖️
