One of my best-sellers šŸ”„ I know so many resonate with this one. I’ve spent too much of my life masking, dimming my light, making myself small just to avoid other people’s feelings. But no more of that. I’m going to keep taking up space. Do what feels right for me. Do things differently.

This pin is retiring, along with many others, so if you want to carry this reminder, grab it now šŸ™‚

i have to do-lists that I carry in so many different places, from my notes app to my notebooks, to google calendar, from my mind that never stops tracking or managing, + all the different ā€œcalendarsā€ i’ve tried to keep up with. i didn’t realize that there were invisible tasks, too. hoping to hear back from someone. making sure something works out. from growing a list to growing my business. i would carry those items around all day like they were mine to solve, + then i’d feel like a failure when i couldn’t achieve them (couldn’t cross them off my list). over time, i realized that half of the unnecessary pressure wasn’t really coming from what i had to do. it was coming from what i was trying to control. i started to surrender, but the thing is, that i like to track what i surrender as well. not track in the sense that it’s my responsibility. i wanted to witness it in awe when it did happen. when i wasn’t gripping it. when i could properly detach + still carry a desire with lightness. i started splitting my ā€œto-do listā€ into two columns. what is mine to carry? what do i actually need to do? what steps make sense for me to take? the left side became my work that included actions, choices, me showing up, my commitments, my promises, the things i actually had capacity for. the right side became everything else. you don’t even need to hand it off to God but you can hand it off knowing that you don’t need to control or carry it all. things like timing, outcomes, other people’s decisions. it’s not really just about writing them down but also truly surrendering and following through, keeping your own words. it has helped me to build trust in myself. to enjoy the work, knowing that who i become in the process is ultimately what i’ve been seeking anyway. so by the time the results take place, i’m already in a good place. i started to add dates to things as well so i can see how much comes true + how fast. it’s been so fun to track, + i do feel quite lighter, freer and better. i’m also getting more done that i could do. the rest? i’m happy to hand it all off. this is a different way to move through your day + i truly think that this to-do list will teach you surrender.

We made these small on purpose. Because the things worth noticing usually are.

Ten mini floral pins for the ones who still stop to look at flowers. Who find something grounding about paying attention to the little things. Who know that slowing down isn’t doing less. It’s seeing more.

Mini Floral Enamel Pin Collection Set 2. Link in bio.

Ten mini floral pins, each one hand-illustrated to capture the beauty and meaning of a single bloom. Bluebonnet, Lily of the Valley, Sweet Pea, Iris, Bird of Paradise, Peony, Lavender, Snowdrop, Jasmine, and Marigold.

Some are birth month flowers. Some are state flowers. All of them are tiny enough to wear anywhere and meaningful enough to make someone ask about them.

Mini Floral Enamel Pin Collection Set 2 is live. Link in bio.

Everyone thinks I’m a go-getter but I’ve taken so much time off to be with the little ones!!! Being a mama is the best thing to happen to me (and also one of the most challenging on my nervous system) but I wouldn’t trade that for all the ambition in the world. Taking this summer off too 🄹 I’ll work slowly on my creative projects but I’ll keep living my life too

So grateful for having built this shop and also for adapting to the season I’m in

Thank you for continuing to support me šŸ„¹ā™„ļø

This is from a few years ago when my daughter decided to narrate my packing process. She was not wrong about any of it.

Every order from The Gray Muse is packed by hand in our home studio in New Jersey. That part hasn’t changed. The sweet narrator has just gotten taller 😭

Thank you for supporting a small, woman-owned, family-run business. It means more than you know. I love that I get to to this and that my daughters get to watch me do it šŸ„¹ā™„ļø
