With a New Year coming right around the corner now's the time to sit and reflect on our Word of the Year. This word will help bring focus and clarity to what we want to create in our lives. What word will help guide your daily actions and help you become a better version of yourself?
As you reflect, ask yourself these questions and write down whatever pops into your head. What could I use more of in my life? What can I use less of? What characteristics could I like to have? By the end of the day how I like to feel _______! How do I want to feel? Once you review your answers you'll have a better sense of the direction you'd like to go or what you feel you may be lacking in your life.
As you visualize, think about what your perfect day would be what it feel like look like would you do throughout the day, in the morning, during the day, at night, and right before bed. Sit and think about what word do I want to focus on this next year?
Create a list spend a few minutes creating a list of words that comes to mind. Don't overthink it and don't self edit.
As you review, go through your list and narrow down your favorites. Circle or highlight three words. Do any words jump out, make you excited, nervous, scared, uncomfortable, or at ease? Review and let the words choose you.
Lastly ask yourself this very important question, are you interested or are you committed? If you're merely interested chances are you'll make excuses and you won't actually put any effort into making change but if you're committed to your word you will do whatever it takes to implement the word into your life and bring change to yours.
Here's looking at a New Year full of many hopes and dreams. May the trials and bumps be few but mostly let this year be a learning lesson and growth to be a better you..
