Scammers are getting more difficult to detect as AI continues to improve and appear more authentic. That makes knowing common tactics used by scammers even more important. Here are two popular ones:

- Be skeptical when asked to make a payment using an unusual payment method (i.e. gift cards or someone coming to your house to pick up the money).
- Government agencies, banks, or any legitimate business will never request sensitive information over a text message, phone call or email.

Today, we are spotlighting Hannah Tucker on her new position as Loan Officer! Hannah started at First State Bank in April of 2017 as a teller until she graduated from Breckinridge County High School. She then became a full-time teller later that year while taking online classes at a community college, and was promoted to Head Teller two years later. In 2022, Hannah transitioned into a Loan Processor position.

“This is where I found my true passion for banking," Hannah said. "I enjoyed reviewing and analyzing loan files and researching details prior to loan closings.”
Over time, those experiences strengthened her interest in lending and led her to her current position as Loan Officer.

“This position with First State Bank gives me the opportunity to work directly with customers and help guide them through their lending process," Hannah said. "I’m excited to continue learning, growing, and building relationships with the people in our community. I am truly grateful for this opportunity!”

When Hannah is not at the bank, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their two boys. She enjoys the outdoors, especially riding around on the golf cart and making memories as a family.
