I was a top-3 producer at Coldwell Banker Irving/Las Colinas.
My photo was literally hung on the wall.
Coldwell Banker International Sterling Society.
RE/MAX Gold Club.
MGF Women of the Year.
I had the plaques. I had the recognition. I had the income.
And I watched a devastating chunk of it disappear to taxes every single year.
I was earning well. I was not building wealth.
There is a difference.
Earning is trading time for money. Wealth is building assets that compound while you sleep.
The awards told me I was excellent at earning. Real estate investing taught me how to build wealth.
The CCIM designation changed how I saw every deal. The portfolio changed how I lived.
1,200+ multifamily units later β I understand something I wish someone had told me sooner:
You can be excellent at your profession and still be one bad year away from starting over.
Real estate is the bridge between income and independence.
The transition is not complicated. But it requires someone who has made it themselves β not just someone who talks about it.
I made it. Now I help others do the same.
What question do you have about making that transition? Drop it below. π
