Here we have an underpaid claim by the insurance carrier. The roof has enough wind damage to justify a full roof replacement.
I will tell you how.
As you can see in the video, the side slope is covered in wind damage, whereas the front slope has a bit less. Because the side slope slides underneath the front slope, AND the roof is too brittle to repair, both the side and front slopes must be replaced. Because this roof is an up and over style (2 main slopes, front and back), that is 50% of the roof being replaced, which then justifies a full roof replacement.
Most insurance companies will afford only a repair, but with this appraisal, this roof is getting a full replacement.
