Just because it’s water doesn’t mean it’s covered 💧👀

One of the biggest homeowner misconceptions? Assuming every water claim is treated the same. It’s not.

Here are 4 water coverages to know about:

💦 Sudden & accidental
Damage from a pipe that leaks or bursts unexpectedly
Commonly covered, but not always.

🚿 Water backup
Water that backs up through drains, sewers, or sump pumps. Not automatically included, and usually needs to be added as an endorsement.

🏠 Foundation / slab leak related damage
Can help with damage from leaking pipes under the home and the cost to access them. Natural foundation movement or settling is not covered!

💧 Seepage coverage
Covers slow seeping or leaking pipes with in the plumbing system and is an optional coverage.

🌧 Flood
Completely separate from your home policy and requires its own policy!
