Hello Family and Friends,
September is Life Insurance Awareness Month, and it’s the perfect time to think about your coverage. Many of you may have life insurance through work, but have you considered what happens when you retire or leave your job?
➡️What happens to your coverage? When you are no longer employed, your group life insurance typically ends. This can leave you without coverage for final expenses, such as a funeral, at a time when qualifying for or affording new coverage might be difficult.
➡️Do you know the cost of a funeral? To give you an idea, my father’s funeral cost $12,000 for the service and another $1,700 for the plot. And that’s not including other expenses that come with the loss of a loved one.
➡️Who will cover these costs if you don’t have insurance? Without proper coverage, these expenses can become a burden on your family.
I have several affordable options available, especially if you’re 50 or older or have health concerns.
I’d love to help you or anyone you know explore these options.
P.S. Next up, we’ll discuss the importance of coverage for our children. It’s not something we want to think about, but it’s more than just about loss.
