🤔 The Humboldt squid (Giant Squid) is a major component of Peru's artisanal fishery, representing a large portion of their seafood exports.
🤔 The Giant squid can reach up to 5 feet and up to 110 lbs but their life span is relatively short, between 1-2 years.
🤔They are known for their aggressive behavior, particularly during feeding times, and have been known to attack divers.
🤔Humboldt squid are carnivores that feed on various prey including small fish, crustaceans, and other cephalopods. They use their suckers with sharp teeth and a beak to capture and consume prey.

And,......they are tasty! Most people use giant squid tentacles as a substitute for octopus 😋
